What it is
The QCT16-8 is a tin-plated copper tube lug (crimp lug) from the Q-Crimp range, made by Unicrimp Limited (part of the Scolmore Group). It terminates a copper conductor onto a stud, bolt or busbar connection for power and earthing work.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Green or blue corrosion visible on the copper barrel
- Discolouration or heat damage at the connection from overheating
- Loose or working-free fit on the stud or busbar
- Cracked, split or flattened barrel from a previous crimp
- Pitting or arcing marks on the contact face
