What it is
The Unicrimp QBW20S is the small-bore version of the 20mm BW-type cable gland, machined from cast brass to BS2874, used to terminate steel wire armoured (SWA) cable into an enclosure or gland plate. Unicrimp is the cable products brand of the Scolmore Group.

- Gland body is cracked, corroded or cross-threaded
- Cable armour or earth continuity is no longer secure at the entry
- Shroud or locknut is missing or damaged, exposing the cable seal
- Visible moisture or dust ingress at the gland
- A cable change or rewire calls for a fresh termination rather than reusing the old gland
