What it is
ProWarm edge insulation is a self-adhesive foam strip fitted around the perimeter of a room before screeding an underfloor heating system, allowing the screed to expand and contract without cracking and reducing heat loss at the walls.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Screed cracking at the room perimeter
- Audible cracking or movement noises as the floor heats and cools
- Visible gaps or bridging where the screed meets the wall or floor insulation
- Existing edge strip has perished, compressed or come away from the wall
Before you order
- Measure the room perimeter to confirm 50m covers the job, allowing for doorways and columns
- Confirm the 8mm thickness and 100mm height suit your screed depth and floor build-up
- Fit before the screed is poured, not after
- Trim flush only once the screed has fully cured
