What it is
The PRW213 is a 50A double-pole round pull cord switch with mechanical on/off marking, a neon indicator and a mounting pattress, from Scolmore's Click Essentials range — typically used to isolate electric showers.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Neon indicator not lighting when switched on
- Pull cord snapped, frayed or sticking
- Switch not clicking positively or failing to isolate the circuit
- Casing cracked or scorched
Before you order
- Isolate the shower/circuit at the consumer unit before removing the old switch — this is normally the shower isolator
- Confirm you need the round pattress version (PRW213) rather than the square-pattress PRW211
- The unit is supplied complete with its own pattress, so no separate back box is needed
