What it is
The PRW040 is a 20A double pole switch from Click Scolmore's Polar range, made to control the power supply to a fixed water heater. It has a moulded, square-edge polar white plate pre-printed with a "Water Heater" legend and a flex outlet option.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Rocker feels loose, sticks, or no longer clicks positively
- Water heater fails to switch on or off even though the supply is confirmed live
- Visible cracking, discolouration or heat marks on the plate
- Scorching or pitting around the terminals when the accessory is removed
