What it is
The PRO45B-1 is a Fluidmaster Pro bottom entry fill valve with a heavy-duty 1/2 inch brass shank, for refilling toilet cisterns from a bottom water connection. The brass shank resists cracking, corrosion and stripping, and is designed to reduce water hammer noise.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The cistern refills slowly, noisily, or not at all
- Water keeps running or hissing after the cistern is full
- Water hammer or banging in the pipework when filling
- Visible leaking or corrosion around the shank
Before you order
- Confirm your cistern uses bottom water entry, not side entry
- Check the connection is 1/2 inch and you need a brass (not plastic) shank
- Isolate the water supply before removing the old valve
- Measure the cistern height to set the new valve correctly
