What it is
The PRC216 is a Click Scolmore Essentials 16A double pole pull cord switch with a neon power indicator, for switching higher-current fixed appliances such as electric showers or immersion heaters from a ceiling-mounted cord.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The cord or pull mechanism feels loose or doesn't spring back
- The neon indicator stops working
- The switch fails to fully isolate the appliance, or fails intermittently
- Visible cracking, discolouration or heat marks
Before you order
- Confirm you need 16A double pole switching (not 10AX single pole)
- Check the mounting matches your existing ceiling switch
- Isolate the circuit at the consumer unit before removing the old switch
- Match your cable sizes to the terminal capacity
