What it is
The Salus PMV22 is a 22mm 2-port motorised valve used on domestic central heating and hot water systems to control the flow of water, opening or closing on a signal from a thermostat or control system. It has a detachable actuator head and is compatible with Honeywell valve bodies, allowing the actuator to be replaced without disturbing the pipework.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Valve fails to open or close, leaving no heating or no hot water
- Motor hums or buzzes but the valve does not move
- Actuator head will not detach cleanly for a swap, or the gearing has stripped
- Central heating and hot water run together when they should be separately zoned
Before you order
- Match the part number printed on your existing valve or actuator head
- Confirm your valve body is a Honeywell-compatible pattern before ordering just the actuator head
- Isolate electrical power before disconnecting wiring
