What it is
The Arctic Hayes PH125 is a tub of 100 encapsulated white smoke pellets, each weighing 8 g. The pellets are used to generate a visible white smoke trail when testing flues, chimneys, ventilation paths and drainage runs for correct draw and for leaks. Each pellet is encapsulated, so it ignites as a sealed unit and burns within its own casing rather than crumbling or leaving loose residue in the test area.
Before you order
- Confirm an 8 g pellet is the size required for the flue, chimney or drainage test being carried out.
- Check that the stated 60-second burn time per pellet suits the test method and the time needed to observe the smoke path.
- Confirm a tub of 100 matches the expected number of tests, as pellets are consumed on each use.
- Store the tub sealed and dry, away from damp, as moisture affects how the pellets light and burn.
