What it is
Red smoke pellets manufactured by Arctic Hayes, supplied as a tube of six 13g pellets. Each pellet is lit to generate a visible smoke trail, allowing flue draw, draught and leakage paths to be checked on heating appliances and chimneys. They are a consumable test item rather than a component that forms part of an appliance.
Before you order
- Confirm the pellet weight required for the test being carried out; this tube contains 13g pellets.
- Check the quantity needed for the number of flues or test points to be covered — six pellets are supplied per tube.
- Store tubes away from heat and ignition sources until use.
- Follow the manufacturer's lighting and handling instructions on the tube before carrying out any smoke test.
