What it is
The Arctic Hayes PH001 is a tube of six 13G white smoke pellets, used as a consumable for smoke testing on heating work. A pellet is lit and placed at the base of a flue, chimney or duct run so the white smoke traces the path of the draught and reveals leaks, blockages or poor pull. Each pellet gives a stated burn time of approximately 40 seconds.
Before you order
- Check the tube of six gives enough pellets for the number of flue or duct tests planned.
- Confirm the flue, chimney or duct can be safely accessed, lit and then closed off once the test is complete.
- Check part number PH001 against the existing stock reference before ordering.
- Keep pellets in the sealed tube, away from moisture and ignition sources, until they are needed.
