What it is
The ProWarm PERT-EVOH-PERT pipe from Protherm is a flexible multilayer pipe with an EVOH oxygen barrier layer, supplied in a 500 m coil at 16 mm diameter. The EVOH layer sits within the pipe wall to restrict oxygen diffusion into the system water, which is the reason barrier pipe is specified on underfloor heating circuits. It is used for laying underfloor heating loops and for long, continuous pipe runs where a coiled length is preferred over rigid tube.
Before you order
- Confirm 16 mm is the pipe size your manifold outlets and pipe fittings are designed to accept.
- Work out the total circuit length required, including the run back to the manifold, against the 500 m coil length.
- Check that a barrier pipe with an EVOH layer is what the system specification calls for.
- Allow for storage and handling of a single 500 m coil before delivery.
