What it is
The Altecnic 1/4˝ F x 1/4˝ F x 700mm Flexible Hose is a braided flexible connector with a female threaded connection at each end. It is listed within the Altecnic oil products range and is used to link components on oil-fired boiler installations where a fixed pipe run is impractical. The 700mm length allows for offset and vibration between the connection points.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible weeping or staining at either crimped end of the hose
- Oil smell around the appliance or a damp film on the hose braid
- The hose has kinked or hardened and no longer flexes freely
- Leakage at the connection points after the joints have been remade
- Corrosion or cracking of the outer braid
Before you order
- Confirm both connections on the appliance and pipework are 1/4˝ female, as the hose is female at each end
- Check that the 700mm length suits the routing without pulling tight or forming a sharp bend
- Match the part against the appliance model within the Altecnic oil products range
