What it is
These are 3/4" washers for ball valves, identified by the BVHIU reference and supplied under part number PA-200084 by Caleffi HIU. They form the sealing element within the ball valve assembly on Caleffi HIU appliances, preventing water loss at the valve joint. The washer is a service item, replaced when the seal degrades and the valve begins to weep.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the ball valve body or joint
- Visible water staining, corrosion or limescale around the valve
- The washer feels hardened, flattened or cracked when inspected
- A leak appears or worsens after operating the ball valve
- Scale or debris trapped at the washer seating face
Before you order
- Confirm the valve is a 3/4" ball valve of the BVHIU type
- Check the appliance is a Caleffi HIU product
- Verify the part number PA-200084 against the manufacturer's parts list
- Establish how many washers are required for the valve or valves being serviced
