What it is
The Powermax P111 is an automatic air vent with a 3/8 inch Flexivent connection, used on Powermax gas boilers. It continuously releases trapped air from the heating circuit, preventing airlocks and the circulation problems they cause. It is a serviceable component on the Powermax 140 and 155 appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the vent body or cap
- System pressure falling and needing frequent topping up
- Gurgling or air noise in the pipework that persists after bleeding
- Corrosion or limescale staining around the vent
- Radiators or the boiler failing to clear air, causing cold spots or poor circulation
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above
- Check the existing vent is the 3/8 inch Flexivent type
- Isolate the appliance and depressurise the system before removal
- Have a suitable sealant or sealing washer to hand for refitting
