What it is
The ONYX 600L blue potable accumulator vessel is a 600 litre vessel intended for potable water systems, rated at 4 bar and fitted with feet. It holds water under pressure to stabilise outlet flow and reduce pump cycling in boosted potable water installations. The vessel is supplied with a 1 1/2in connection.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Pump short-cycling or running more frequently than usual as the stored air charge is lost
- Water discharging from the air valve when the charge is checked, indicating a failed diaphragm
- Outlet pressure fluctuating sharply or falling soon after the pump stops
- Visible corrosion, pitting or weeping at the shell or seams
- An air charge that will not hold after re-pressurising
Before you order
- Confirm the required connection size matches the 1 1/2in connection on this vessel
- Check that the system working pressure is within the 4 bar rating
- Check available floor space and clearance for a 600 litre vessel, plus access for the feet
- Confirm the application is potable water and that an accumulator vessel is the correct choice
