What it is
The OFV8 is Teddington Appliance Controls' filter and isolation valve kit for liquid heating fuel tanks, combining a nylon filter with a shut-off valve in one unit, for use with the KBB Fire Valve range. It is the larger, 1in BSP-inlet version of the OFV range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Reduced or erratic oil flow to the boiler
- Boiler losing pressure or cutting out on low oil supply
- Visible corrosion, cracking or oil weeping from the filter bowl or valve body
- Isolation lever stiff, seized, or not shutting off fully
Before you order
- Check the tank take-off size (this is the 1in BSP kit; the OFV1 is the 1/2in BSP version) before ordering
- Isolate the oil supply before removing the old unit
- Fit by a competent oil-fired appliance engineer (OFTEC)
