What it is
The BG NBSBTM1-01 is a 1-gang master BT telephone socket in a brushed steel raised-plate finish, fitted at the point where the incoming telephone line enters the property, with other extensions wired as slave sockets from it.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No dial tone anywhere in the property
- Socket faceplate is cracked, loose or the screws will not tighten
- Visible corrosion on the terminals
- Crackling, dropped calls or an intermittent line traced to the master socket
Before you order
- Check the part number matches NBSBTM1-01 before ordering
- Confirm this is the master socket position (where the line enters), not a slave extension
- Contact your telephone provider before disconnecting the incoming line if unsure
