What it is
The BG NBS70G-01 is a 45A double-pole cooker control unit from BG's Nexus Metal range, combining the isolator switch for a cooker circuit with a 13A switched socket for a second kitchen appliance. It has a brushed steel faceplate with grey inserts and flush LED power indicators above the switch and socket.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The switch feels loose, stiff, or no longer clicks positively
- Scorch marks, discolouration, or a burning smell around the plate
- The LED indicator no longer lights, or flickers, when switched on
- The cooker fails to power up even though the circuit breaker is on
Before you order
- Confirm your existing unit is a 45A double-pole cooker control unit and match the grey insert colour
- Isolate the cooker circuit and the socket ring at the consumer unit before removing the old unit
- Check the wall box depth is at least 47mm
- This is fixed mains wiring — have the work carried out or checked by a competent/registered electrician
