What it is
The BG NBS13-01 is a 20A 16AX intermediate switch from BG's Nexus Metal range, finished in brushed steel. Used together with two 2-way switches, it allows a single lighting circuit to be controlled from three or more locations — for example a hallway, landing and stairwell.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Light does not switch on/off correctly from one or more positions
- Rocker switch feels loose, sticks, or fails to click
- No continuity through the switch when tested with power isolated
- Visible scorch marks or discolouration on the faceplate
- Cracked or chipped faceplate
Before you order
- Confirm your wall box depth is at least 16mm
- Confirm you need an intermediate switch (three or more switching points) rather than a 2-way switch (two points)
- Isolate the lighting circuit at the consumer unit before removing the old accessory
