What it is
The 232238 is a Myson/Thorn ignition control assembly, also cross-referenced as Morgan Electro Controls 22508/801, fitted near the burner electrodes. It generates the spark that lights the pilot or main burner and senses whether a flame is present, shutting off gas if ignition fails.
