What it is
The ELECTRODE 0937 ONWARDS is a Morco Products ignition electrode, part number MRS0095, supplied within the gas boiler spares range. It is used on Morco F11-E and F11-EL appliances from build 0937 onwards, where it provides the spark that lights the burner.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite and no spark is audible at the burner.
- Repeated lockouts on start-up or when heat is demanded.
- A cracked, chipped or discoloured ceramic insulator on the electrode.
- An eroded, sooty or bridged electrode tip.
- The spark tracks to earth instead of jumping the gap.
