What it is
The MPE322 is a Potterton Myson PowerExtra three-port mid-position motorised valve, 22mm, used on Y-plan and similar heating systems to direct hot water to the central heating circuit, the hot water cylinder, or both. It uses a Class F insulated 6W motor for extended motor life and enough torque to open reliably after long periods shut down.

- Valve motor hums or stalls without moving the spindle
- Valve stuck mid-travel, giving lukewarm heating and hot water together
- Visible leaking from the valve body or actuator failing to seat
