What it is
The Grant MPCBS79 is a flexible hose for the expansion vessel on Grant oil-fired combi and condensing boilers. It connects the expansion vessel to the boiler's water circuit, allowing the vessel to absorb pressure changes as the system heats and cools. It is a service part for the Grant Combi and Vortex Pro ranges.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible weeping, damp staining or corrosion at the hose crimp or union
- Pressure loss on the boiler gauge with no other leak found
- Hose wall perished, cracked or hardened with age
- Expansion vessel no longer holding charge, with the hose disturbed during diagnosis
- Water tracking along the hose braid or fitting threads
