What it is
The MPCBS54X is a temperature control printed circuit board supplied with its sensor, manufactured by Grant for their oil-fired boiler range. It manages boiler temperature regulation and replaces the earlier MPCBS54 board on appliances built before September 2008. It is a service component for Grant combi and condensing combi boilers.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to fire or runs only intermittently
- Domestic hot water or heating temperature is erratic or uncontrolled
- Repeated lockouts that clear on reset but return
- No response from the boiler controls despite power at the appliance
- Temperature readings that do not match the actual system temperature
