What it is
The Grant MPCBS30 is a filling loop kit with valves, supplied by Grant for use on its oil-fired boiler ranges. It provides the connection used to bring mains water into the heating system when the system pressure needs to be topped up. The kit is listed under isolation valves within Grant oil boiler spares.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the filling loop valve bodies
- Valve handles that turn without operating the valve, or that are seized
- System pressure that will not hold after topping up
- Visible scale, corrosion or staining around the valves
- The filling loop cannot be isolated, leaving the mains connection open to the system
