What it is
The Grant MPBS28 is a complete baffle set for Grant Multipass oil boilers in the 140/160 output range. The baffles sit in the heat exchanger flueways, slowing the passage of flue gases so more heat is transferred to the water. This set covers the full baffle requirement for the Multipass 140/160 models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler overheating or tripping on the high limit thermostat
- Soot or black deposits around the flue or heat exchanger
- Rising fuel consumption with no change in demand
- Visible corrosion, warping or breakage of the baffles
- Baffles found missing or out of position during a service
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler is a Grant Multipass 140/160 model
- Check the baffle set against the parts list for your exact boiler variant
- Verify the existing baffles are damaged, missing or displaced before ordering
