What it is
The Grant MPBS13 is a complete baffle set for Grant 70/90 oil boilers. Baffles sit in the heat exchanger flue passages, slowing the passage of combustion gases so more heat is transferred to the water and less is lost up the flue. This set covers the Combi 90 MKII and Multipass 70/90 variants.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Falling boiler efficiency or a rise in flue gas temperature
- Higher fuel consumption with no change in usage
- Soot or black deposits around the flue or heat exchanger
- Visible corrosion, warping or breakage of the baffles
- Boiler short-cycling or overheating
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and output range from the appliance data plate; this set is listed for 70/90 models.
- Check part number MPBS13 against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance.
- Identify whether your boiler is a Combi 90 MKII, Multipass or Outdoor variant, as fitment differs across the range.
