What it is
The Grant MPBS12 is a complete baffle set for Grant Multipass 50/70 oil boilers. Baffles are fitted in the heat exchanger flue passages to slow the flow of hot flue gases, improving heat transfer to the boiler water. This set provides the baffles required for the 50/70 models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, warping or distortion of the baffles
- Heavy soot or debris build-up on the baffle surfaces
- Reduced boiler efficiency or higher than normal flue gas temperatures
- Increased fuel consumption for the same heat output
- Physical damage or missing baffles after servicing
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler is a Grant Multipass 50/70 model.
- Check the existing baffle set for damage or missing sections.
- Verify the part number MPBS12 matches your boiler's requirements.
- Ensure the boiler is isolated and cool before inspection or replacement.
