What it is
The Salus MD22S is a magnetic in-line filter for domestic central heating systems. An ultra-strong magnet housed in a dry pocket captures magnetic and non-magnetic debris circulating in the system, protecting the boiler and improving efficiency.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Radiators cold at the bottom or slow to heat up
- Boiler noisier than usual or losing efficiency
- Filter body leaking, cracked, or isolation valves no longer sealing
- System has no magnetic filter fitted at all

- Confirm the pipe size and connection type match your existing pipework
- Isolate and drain down the relevant section of pipework before fitting or removing
