What it is

The MCB2255 is a diaphragm manufactured by Morco Products for use in the FEB-24E family of gas appliances. A diaphragm of this type responds to changes in water or gas pressure and moves the linked valve or actuator assembly as pressure varies. It is a serviceable component and is replaced when it no longer holds its shape, flexes correctly or seals against its seating.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Inconsistent operation or loss of response to pressure changes at the appliance.
  • Visible distortion, stretching, hardening or cracking of the diaphragm material.
  • Perished, swollen or soft rubber that no longer seats correctly.
