Morco Products Expansion Vessel MCB2005

The MCB2005 is an expansion vessel manufactured by Morco Products for use in its FEB-24E family of LPG boilers. It provides the internal air cushion that absorbs the volume increase of water as the sealed heating circuit heats up, limiting pressure rise across the system. The vessel is charged with air on one side of a diaphragm and connected to the boiler's water circuit on the other.

• System pressure climbs quickly as the boiler heats and falls again once it cools.
• The pressure relief valve discharges water during normal heating cycles.
• The boiler repeatedly loses pressure and needs topping up.
• Water is present at the vessel's air valve when the cap is removed and the valve is depressed.
• The vessel feels heavy or full of water when disconnected, indicating a failed diaphragm.

• Confirm the boiler model against the fitment list above.
• Check the existing vessel's part number or manufacturer reference before removing it.
• Verify the system pressure and expansion vessel charge pressure against the boiler manufacturer's instructions.
• Isolate the appliance and depressurise the heating circuit before removal.
