EOGB Capacitor M02-0004

The CAPACITOR is a 4MF 400V plain capacitor with cap, manufactured by EOGB and supplied under part number M02-0004. It forms part of the X Series component range used across the EOGB BTG family of gas boilers. The capacitor provides the starting and running capacitance required by the appliance's motor-driven components.

• The fan or motor hums but does not start, or starts only after the shaft is helped by hand
• Intermittent operation where the appliance runs and then drops out without a clear fault code
• The capacitor body is visibly swollen, split or leaking
• Burning or scorching at the capacitor terminals or connecting leads
• Repeated lockouts on start-up that clear after the appliance is left to cool

• Confirm the capacitor ratings printed on the existing component match 4MF and 400V
• Check the appliance model against the BTG fitment list above before ordering
• Inspect the mounting and terminal connections on the existing capacitor to confirm the plain with cap format is the correct pattern
• Isolate the appliance from the electrical supply before removing or fitting any capacitor
