What it is
The QRA2M is a high sensitivity flame sensor supplied under the EOGB brand. It is used with EOGB, Siemens and Landis burner control equipment in boiler applications, where the sensor monitors the burner flame and provides the flame signal to the control unit. This is the high sensitivity version of the QRA2M.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner locks out repeatedly even though a flame is visibly present
- Flame is established at ignition and then lost, with the control shutting the burner down
- Intermittent ignition faults that do not trace to the gas supply, ignition electrode or combustion settings
- A lockout or fault indication at the control unit that points to a missing or weak flame signal
