What it is
The Kane GLD450Plus is a handheld combustible gas leak detector with a flexible probe shaft, built around a solid-state semiconductor sensor for locating leaks of methane and other combustible or organic gases.

- Detector fails to respond to a known gas source, or response is far slower than 1 second
- LED indicators or audible tic no longer function correctly
- Sensor readings are inconsistent or unreliable after warm-up
- Battery compartment or shaft is damaged, affecting a reliable seal on the sensor
