What it is
The SPARK ELECTRODE - IGNITION is a Morco Products ignition component for the GB series of LPG boilers. It provides the spark across the burner that lights the gas at start-up. The electrode is supplied under part number ICB306001.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to light and goes to lockout on a call for heat or hot water.
- The ignition sequence can be heard but no spark is produced at the burner.
- The electrode tip or its insulation is cracked, eroded or heavily carboned.
- The ignition lead connection at the electrode is loose or the terminal is corroded.
