What it is
The Saffire fire valve, designated 1/4 90/C with a 2.0 m capillary, is an oil supply safety valve supplied under the Popular Oil brand for oil-fired boiler installations. It sits in the fuel line to the burner and closes the oil supply when the sensing element reaches its set temperature. The capillary carries the sensing element away from the valve body, allowing it to be positioned at the appliance while the valve itself remains on the oil line.
