What it is
The 3.5 Bar PRV for Multibloc (New Style) is a pressure reducing valve supplied under the Popular Cylinder brand. It forms part of the Popular Cylinder Spares cold water inlet controls range and regulates the incoming supply pressure at the multibloc assembly. This is the new style variant, intended for the current multibloc arrangement.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water discharging from the cylinder pressure relief valve, suggesting the inlet pressure is not being held down
- Excessive or fluctuating pressure at outlets fed from the cylinder
- Water weeping from the valve body or its connections
- Banging or noisy operation in the pipework when outlets are opened
- Inability to maintain a steady pressure at the multibloc inlet
Before you order
- Confirm the existing valve is rated at 3.5 bar
- Check that the multibloc fitted is the new style, as this valve is listed for that variant
- Confirm the installation uses Popular Cylinder Spares cold water inlet controls
- Isolate the mains supply and depressurise the assembly before removal
