What it is
An 8 bar pressure relief valve for the Multibloc cold water inlet control fitted to Popular Cylinder unvented cylinders. It relieves excess pressure from the cold water inlet side of the cylinder, discharging through the tundish and discharge pipework. This is the new style Multibloc version.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water passing continuously through the tundish with no demand on the system
- Dripping or weeping from the valve outlet when the cylinder is up to pressure
- System pressure that will not hold steady, with repeated top-ups required
- Scale or debris preventing the valve from reseating after a discharge
