What it is
The 8 Bar PRV with T-Piece is a pressure relief valve assembly from Popular Cylinder Spares, forming part of the cold water inlet controls on an unvented cylinder. It opens at 8 bar to discharge excess pressure and is supplied with a T-piece for connection into the inlet control group. It is used across the Heatrae Sadia Megaflo Eco range of direct, indirect and solar cylinder models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water discharging continuously from the pressure relief valve or tundish with no heat-up or overpressure event
- The valve weeping or dripping once system pressure has returned to normal
- The valve failing to reseat after it has lifted, leaving a constant trickle to drain
- Scale or debris visible around the valve seat or outlet
