What it is
A 6 bar pressure relief valve with a push fit connection, intended for use on multibloc cold water inlet control assemblies. It is part of the cold water inlet controls range for unvented cylinders, where it relieves excess pressure from the cylinder and discharges safely via the tundish and discharge pipework.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water discharging continuously from the tundish with no heat or pressure event to explain it
- Dripping or weeping from the valve body or its connection to the multibloc
- The valve failing to reseat after a normal pressure relief event
- Scale or debris holding the valve open, causing a constant trickle to drain
- System pressure rising beyond the set point without discharge
