What it is
The Popular Cylinder Spares TPR15 is a 6 bar temperature and pressure relief valve with 15mm x 1/2" connections. It is fitted to hot water cylinders in the Gledhill Stainless Lite and Viessman Vitocell ranges, where it opens to discharge water if the cylinder's temperature or pressure rises beyond its set limits.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water discharging from the valve or tundish when the cylinder is not overheating
- Continuous weeping or dripping from the discharge pipe
- The valve fails to reseat after it has operated
- Scale or corrosion around the valve body or outlet
- Discharge occurring during normal heating cycles
