What it is
Worm drive hose clamps manufactured under the Special Offers brand, supplied in a pack of 10. Each clamp uses a worm drive mechanism to tighten the band around a hose, securing it to a spigot, pipe stub or fitting on a boiler or heating circuit. The 25-40mm clamping range covers hoses within that outside diameter band.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion or pitting on the band or the worm drive housing
- The screw turns without tightening the band, indicating stripped threads
- Weeping, damp staining or a drip at the hose joint under operating pressure
