What it is
The Gledhill Sight Glass Gasket (GT247) is a sealing gasket that fits between the sight glass and its mounting on the appliance. It forms the seal that keeps the sight glass joint watertight on the Gledhill Gulfstream 2000. The part is supplied under Gledhill part number GT247.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or tracking from around the sight glass
- Staining or scale deposits at the sight glass joint
- Gasket visibly hardened, flattened, split or cracked
- Gasket damaged or disturbed during sight glass removal or refitting
- Recurring seepage at the sight glass after tightening
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is a Gledhill Gulfstream 2000
- Check the existing gasket is the sight glass seal and not another joint on the appliance
- Verify the part number GT247 against the marking on the old gasket or the manufacturer's parts listing
- Isolate and drain down as required before opening the sight glass joint
