What it is
The Gledhill GT135 is a 90 degree angle pump isolating valve used on Gledhill A-Class and related thermal store and boiler appliances. It isolates the pump circuit so the pump can be serviced or removed without draining the whole system. The angled body allows the valve to sit tight against the pump connection where straight isolation is not practical.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The valve weeps or drips from the spindle when operated
- The valve will not shut off fully, so the pump cannot be isolated
- The handle is seized, stiff or turns without moving the internals
- Water tracks from the valve body or compression joints
- Scale or corrosion is visible around the valve body
