What it is
The Salus GGPC1SAL is a radio frequency (RF) boiler and pump control supplied by Salus. It switches the boiler and the circulating pump in response to signals sent from a paired room thermostat or programmer, removing the need for a hard-wired link between the living space and the plant position. It is used on domestic heating systems where a wireless control arrangement is preferred or where running a cable back to the boiler is impractical.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to fire when there is a call for heat from the room thermostat
- The circulating pump does not run even though the control is calling
- Heating responds intermittently, or only when the control is moved close to the receiver
- The pump and boiler run continuously with no demand from the thermostat
- The control stops responding after a battery change or after the system has been isolated
