What it is

The INSPECTION WINDOW (Nuway part G16009C) is an embossed sight glass used to view the flame through the burner casing. It is fitted to a range of Nuway oil and gas burners, including the C, CG, NGN and NOL families. The embossed pattern aids observation of flame condition without removing the burner cover.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The glass is cracked, chipped or broken, allowing air or flue gases to escape.
  • The window has become heavily sooted or discoloured and the flame can no longer be viewed clearly.
  • The sight glass is loose in its mounting or no longer seals correctly.
  • The embossed pattern has eroded to the point where flame observation is impaired.

  • Check the existing sight glass for the G16009C marking.
  • Inspect the retaining ring and sealing face for damage before refitting.
