What it is
The Nuway G06031Y is an ignition electrode supplied as a front end only, intended for fitment into the burner head where the spark is generated. It forms part of the ignition circuit on Nuway MP-series burner assemblies, providing the electrode tip that arcs to ignite the fuel-air mixture on start-up.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner locks out on start-up with no ignition, despite fuel and control checks being satisfactory
- No visible spark at the electrode tip when the burner is called to fire
- Electrode tip is eroded, rounded or heavily burnt back
- Cracking, crazing or tracking visible on the ceramic insulator
- Soot or debris bridging the electrode gap, causing inconsistent or failed ignition
