What it is
The EOGB Vacuum Gauge is a glycerine-filled instrument used to monitor vacuum readings on EOGB appliances. It connects via a 1/8 BSP thread and forms part of the vacuum monitoring arrangement on the appliance it is fitted to.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The needle no longer returns to zero or reads inconsistently against a known reference.
- The glycerine fill has drained away, leaving the dial dry or the movement visibly vibrating.
- The lens is cracked, clouded or has lost its seal, allowing moisture into the dial.
