What it is
The EOGB G04-0006 is a glycerine-filled pressure gauge rated from 0 to 600 psi, fitted with a 1/8" bottom entry connection. It is used on EOGB pressure appliances to give a direct visual reading of system pressure. The glycerine fill damps needle movement, keeping the reading steady where vibration or pulsation is present.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The needle no longer returns to zero with the system depressurised.
- The reading is erratic, jumping or fluctuating instead of holding steady.
- The glycerine fill has leaked out, leaving the case empty or misted.
- The dial face is clouded, discoloured or obscured by moisture.
- The gauge reads a constant figure regardless of changes in system pressure.
